Carroll University awards renewable, automatic merit scholarships* (non-need-based grants) to incoming first-year students at the time of admission. These scholarships are based on cumulative high school GPA and standardized test scores, when provided. There is no need for an additional application to be reviewed for these scholarships! These renewable scholarships range from $18,000 - $26,000 per year.
We know that every Carroll student is more than a number or a test score, and we also know that the answer to the question, “What’s a good ACT or SAT score?” varies from student to student. At Carroll University, we’ll take the guesswork out. If you send us your ACT or SAT score, we’ll use it only if it helps your application and merit scholarship. Don’t want to send a score? No problem! We’ll use the other information in your application to consider you for both admission and scholarships.
A student is awarded merit scholarships based on their academic background. In the event that academic information improves over time (as noted by a 7th semester high school transcript or submitted test scores), Carroll will review for a higher merit scholarship based on information received by February 15, 2025.
The use of artificial intelligence by a scholarship applicant is not permitted under any circumstances in conjunction with application content. All essays, short answer questions, and any other material submitted by an applicant must be the work of the individual, unassisted by artificial intelligence. Unless otherwise noted, scholarships are renewable for four years as long as the student maintains full-time undergraduate status and maintains Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Standards.
At Carroll, outside scholarships do not reduce the amount of gift aid you'll receive from the university.
